At Devon Tuk Tuks (DTT) our aim is to help make your wedding day one of the most special days of your life. With this in mind we operate under the following terms and conditions:

  1. At the time of booking a 20% deposit must be paid within 14 days to confirm the booking. This fee is non-refundable and must be made by bank transfer or PayPal.
  2. When your initial 20% deposit is paid, it is with acceptance that you agree with and will adhere to all DTT’s terms and conditions.
  3. Full payment of the 80% balance is due not later than 30 days prior to the booked date. Failure to pay the balance on the due date will result in the loss of the original 20% deposit and your booking cancelled.
  4. For cancellation, if you advise DTT in writing or e-mail prior to 30 days of the booked date then you will not be liable for the 80% balance fee.
  5. If cancellation is less than 30 days of the booked date then all monies paid at that point are non-refundable (it is advisable for you to arrange your own wedding insurance to cover all eventualities).
  6. DTT has public liability insurance for passenger and third parties, but customers’ belongings are carried entirely at their own risk. DTT cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for any damage to or loss of persons, property or the return of any properties left in the vehicle.
  7. No liability can be accepted by DTT for clothing etc. being marked or dirtied in any way howsoever caused or by any means during the duration of your journey.
  8. DTT can without liability refuse to accept any booking without giving a reason.
  9. DTT reserves the right to terminate any and all services to rude/abusive/intimidating clients. All monies are non-refundable in these circumstances.
  10. DTT reserve the right to charge extra for bookings that take additional time beyond that paid for at the outset.
  11. DTT cannot be held responsible for wedding gifts or any other items; these are transported in the tuk tuk entirely at the customer’s own risk.
  12. The driver has the right to refuse any passenger or halt a journey if he feels there may be a threat to him/herself or the vehicle. All monies are non- refundable in these circumstances.
  13. ‘The customer making the booking responsible for the conduct of all members of their party. Any damage caused by any member of their party will be paid for by the customer. The customer will be charged for clean up or repairs i.e. spillage stains, scratches to interior. DTT reserves the right to choose from one of two quotes that will be obtained in these circumstances.
  14. Children can get very excited on the tuk tuk! It is the booking adult’s responsibility to keep children safe, seated and ensure they are strapped in using the seatbelts provided during all journeys.
  15. Passengers must wear the seat belts provided at all times when the tuk tuk is in motion. If a customer or any member of their party chooses not to wear a seatbelt then DTT will not be responsible for any injuries whatsoever or any subsequent prosecution.
  16. Customers will not smoke (this includes e-cigarettes) or consume alcohol  or any illegal substance in the tuk tuk.
  17. Passengers must adhere to the instructions on the signage in place in the tuk tuk.
  18. Passengers must keep all parts of the body inside the tuk tuk at all times whilst travelling, failure to do this could lead to serious injury or loss of life.
  19. DTT will discuss driver uniform with the client at time of booking.
  20. Every care is taken to maintain the Tuk Tuk’s safety and roadworthy condition, however in the unlikely event that the Tuk Tuk is checked by the driver and deemed non-roadworthy or fails to start/breaks down, then DTT’s reserve the right to issue a full refund. Full support will be given to arrange alternative transport.
  21. The nature of the Tuk Tuk is that it can be bumpy on uneven surfaces because it doesn’t have quite the same suspension as a modern car. Anyone who has medical conditions such as heart concerns, high blood pressure, is of an anxious disposition or who is pregnant should seek the advice of a Doctor before arranging the booking. This list is not exhaustive.
  22. These terms & conditions override all others and DTT’s reserve the right to alter and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
